The first entry in Anne's Travel Journal is this exciting itinerary. It will take the Stillmans 2 months and 19 days to voyage around the world, including 3 days on the train to reach their cruise ship in New York. The Stillmans will journey to 5 continents, sail on 6 oceans and visit 19 countries!

The Stillmans' trip made the news - going around the world was a momentous event! No less than three separate newspapers reported that the Stillmans were setting off: the Pasadena Star-News, the Glendale News-Press, and the Iowa Jefferson Bee (owned by Paul's brother). These articles were carefully saved and pasted into Anne's scrapbook.
